Wix Designer Tip: Changing color of button on password protected page
While you can't change the text or formatting of the Password login page for any page you set as password-protected in the Wix backend, you CAN edit the colors of the buttons and text indirectly using the Theme Color Editor.
It took me a bit to figure out how to fix the button style on the Password Protected page which was showing white text on a white background so the button was illegible which of course is bad for the user experience!
So here's the fix!
I found that in my template, the button color on the password protected page was being determined by the middle Color Shade in the
"Customize Color Theme" window.
Note: I changed the Base Colors a few times and published with no change, but then on the third try it worked! I Not sure why it didn't take the first couple times (I cleared cache and reloaded pages) but it did on the third try. I guess third time's the charm! Make sure to apply the color change, and then publish the changes and then reload the page (ideally in an incognito window) so you can see the change take effect.
Also to note: my theme was using the middle Shade under "Base Colors" to colorize the password protected page's button, but I am not 100% certain that applies to all themes, so you may need to play around with your theme colors to see what affects what.
